MAJOZI is a proudly South African musician from the coastal city of Durban who wears his heart on his sleeve. Literally. He has tattoos dedicated to his faith and to his mother - two very defining aspects of his life, both of which inspire the music he writes.

His debut single with Universal, Fire, was a major pop radio hit and his feelgood follow up single, Darling, endeared MAJOZI to the hearts of his soonto- be loyal fans. He released his debut full length album, the iTunes Top 3 ‘Fire’, in March 2016 which includes the #1 single Breathing as well as the hit collaboration with Tresor, The Woods.

18 May 2018 saw the release of brand new material by MAJOZI: “I really wanted to make sure this was the best music I've ever made, so I was never in a rush really, but I'm excited to be back and releasing new stuff now!” The new release features a brand new radio single entitled WAITING, as well as a second song, Darling Pt. 2. Both songs were written around two years ago, but changed a lot over the years. For WAITING, MAJOZI was really inspired by Daft Punk and originally the song focused on finding hope in the face of feelings of inadequacy. Later MAJOZI got together with Brad Klynsmith (Gangs of Ballet) and evolved the song into a solid story dealing with relationships and love.
