TWO FRIENDS AND A RECORDING STUDIO

Duck Chowles met Danny de Wet at a Petit Cheval concert in Port Elizabeth in the mid eighties.
Danny was the drummer in this legendary SA New Romantic band and, while discussing new equipment Duck had bought for his fledgling home recording studio, they decided to take a break from the post show tequila marathon and go to Duck’s abode to listen to his latest mixes.
Upon arrival Danny discovered, that they both had the same record collection and a 30 year friendship, based on Bob Dylan, Neil Young, the Beatles and the Stones was formed.
Shortly thereafter Duck secured a record deal with Patrick van Blerk (manager of SA super group, Rabbitt) and invited Danny to drum on his first single and to celebrate Bob Dylan’s 75th Birthday, the pair have teamed up with a recently formed record company, Stone Studio’s International, who will showcase the talents of artists on their label. DANNY DE WET

Drummer, vocalist and songwriter for top SA rock acts: eVoid, Petit Cheval, The Electric Petals and Wonderboom.
In the 90’s he co-owned Wings Beat Bar and, as part of the marketing division at David Gresham Records, Danny signed Prime Circle and broke Nickelback in this territory …thereafter (at Sovereign Records) was the key publicist responsible for the incredible success The Parlotones have achieved.
Through the years Danny has toured and been involved in a myriad of events as a performer headlining every major festival and played to an audience of 117 000 at the 80’s ‘Concert In the Park’ - 34 000 at Cokefest (with Korn, 30 Seconds To Mars, Kaiser Chiefs, Muse) - toured with Simple Minds, Live, Rodriguez, Mike & The Mechanics and The Mission and (as part of his record company role) managed & arranged promotional tours for international artists Feeder, Ben Lee, Missy Higgins, Starsailor, Soulfly and Ash.
DUCK CHOWLES

In 2003 Louis Moller joined forces with well-known South African musician Duck Chowles and together they formed The Barnyard Theatre Production Company.
Having produced, amongst others, the mega-hit Roll Over Beethoven, Louis instinctively knew Duck belonged in the Barnyard stable and Duck Chowles now directs and produces all Barnyard Theatre Productions.
