The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway is gearing up to stage its eighth annual Ladies’ Charity Night on Thursday, 18 August. This year’s event will take place during the run of the current show, Six Of The Best, and the night of fun and games will be hosted by local DJ David Yapp. For the cost of R200, not only will ladies get to watch the show, but every lady will get a gift, as well as being automatically entered into a lucky draw with a large array of valuable prizes up for grabs! In addition, a portion of the ticket price will also be donated to the Bobbi Bear charity organisation who assist child victims of sexual abuse. The evening’s main entertainment will be the show Six Of The Best, a tribute to six of the greatest pop and rock icons of all time - Freddie Mercury, Jon Bon Jovi, Meatloaf, Billy Joel, Pink and Cher. The Barnyard has become synonymous with their send-offs, and the show features a ten-piece cast who make their way through a repertoire that was made in rock ‘n roll heaven. Ladies attend can expect to hear all their favourites from these six artists... think of Freddie Mercury’s anthems Bohemian Rhapsody, A Kind Of Magic and We Are The Champions; Bon Jovi’s rock numbers You Give Love A Bad Name, Bed Of Roses and Bad Medicine; Meatloaf’s larger-than-life I’d Do Anything For Love and It’s All Coming Back To Me Now; Billy Joel’s piano ballads Piano Man, New York State Of Mind and Honesty; Cher’s women-power hits Believe and Strong Enough; and Pink’s party tracks Just Like A Pill and Raise Your Glass. So, ladies can get ready to experience the hottest rock and pop stars on the planet in one of the greatest Barnyard shows!
